What is JBnet ?

JBnet project is intended to develop a cybercafe billing application, called JBnet, which is developed under many open source technologies. By using this JBnet application, it is highly expected that all of the user will not conflicted anymore with the expensive price of proprietary billing software and they will be granted the freedom to use and make any changes up to their specified requirements. JBnet software consists of two parts, client application and server application. Each of them have different module from the other part. One module that makes JBnet differs from many others cybercafe billing softwares is the existence of decision support module. Through the process to get clustered historical customer usage data, this module will help the owner to make variety strategic decisions for cybercafe brighter future.JBnet also has simple accounting module that help cybercafe owners to monitor their cybercafe economic condition.

License

JBnet is developed under term and conditions from General Public License. We have listed some reasons and consideration when making a decision related to the used of GPL License as JBnet License. Hence, in this part we will point out that reasons and give you brief explanation about each reason that we had listed. Here are the listed reasons and consideration:
1. Granted user Freedom
GPL License intended to guarantee user freedom and to make sure the software is free for all its users. Therefore, by using GPL terms and conditions, user will be granted the freedom to use, run, access the source code and do others activities such as copying, distributing and modifying the source code.
2. Give opportunity to commercialize their product
Using GPL license, user is deigned to distribute their product with commercial purpose.
3. All of the people around the world are granted to modify JBnet.
